Meghan Markle, who got married to Prince Harry in 2018, in a tell-all interview to Oprah Winfrey revealed that Kate Middleton had made her cry before her wedding.
While rumour mills were rife with report that Catherine, Duchess Of Cambridge, cried because of Meghan ahead of the latter’s wedding, Meghan told Oprah it was quite the opposite.
She told Oprah that everybody in the institution knew it wasn’t true and that the ‘reverse happened.’ She revealed that Kate was upset about something, ‘but she owned it and she apologized.’
Recalling the incident Meghan said, “A few days before the wedding, she was upset about something pertaining, yes, the issue was correct- about flower girl dresses, and it made me cry, and it really hurt my feelings.”
She said that it was from there that the ‘real character assassination’ began. Meghan said that she understood that not only was she not being protected but that ‘they were willing to lie to protect other members of the family.’
Meghan and Prince Harry have stepped down from their royal duties and are starting afresh in the US.
