Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday and is presently in isolation.
Yogi Adityanath got himself tested as a precautionary measure after some officials at his office, including his OSD Abhishek Kaushik, tested positive for COVID-19.
After his test results came positive, Yogi Adityanath isolated himself. He has also urged all the people, who came in his contact, to get themselves tested. He has also assured the citizens of his state that his condition won’t affect the functioning of the state government.
Meanwhile, Yogi Adityanath has directed the state health department to acquire 25000 injections of Remdesivir from Gujarat’s Ahmedabad on an urgent basis. On Tuesday, UP recorded its highest single day spike with 18,021 cases.
