Kartik Aaryan, who was supposed to play the lead role opposite Janhvi Kapoor, in Karan Johar‘s Dostana 2, has now been dropped from the project. However, that’s not all we hear that the Dharma Production has vowed to never work with the actor again.
Half of the film has already been shot however, sources related to the project claim that they had quite an unpleasant experience shooting with the actor. Now Dharma Production has confirmed the reports. In their statement they confirmed that they would be recasting Dostana 2.
KJo’s banner released a statement which reads, “Due to professional circumstances, on which we have decided to maintain a dignified silence – we will be recasting Dostana 2, directed by Collin D’Cunha. Please wait for the official announcement soon.”
Well, after giving out details through ‘sources’ and PR, it’s ironic how Dharma has chosen to maintain a dignified silence.
