If you don’t have the time to watch full length feature films and long web series are not your cup of tea, then Anupriya Goenka and Adah Sharma starrer short film Chuha Billi can provide you a refreshing 15-minute break.

The story revolves around two friends Seerat (Anupriya) and Katrina (Adah), who live together and while they are BFFs, they both have a secret up their sleeve, which they are hiding from each other.

The film starts with Seerat informing Kat about a neighbor, who has committed suicide. As the story moves forward, the audiences realize that Kat is suffering from bipolar disorder. When Kat comes to know about Seerat’s secret, the story takes a dark twist and in the climax Katrina’s deadly secret too is revealed.

Though the plot is a bit predictable, it keeps you engaged. Kudos to director Prasad Kadam for making it a riveting watch as it’s not easy to keep the audiences glued to the screen with just two characters talking in a single room.

Credit also goes to Adah and Anupriya for their terrific performances. While Anupriya is sincere as the concerned best friend, Adah displays an array of emotions in just a few minutes. Though their love for each other is apparent, one can always sense the tension brewing beneath.

The cinematography is beautiful and the set looks organic. The film delves into the deep and dark mind of a person suffering from mental illness and portrays it very beautifully on screen. However, I strongly feel that the characters could have been fleshed out better. Overall a nice watch…
