All eyes are on Uttarakhand, as suspense looms over the state’s leadership. Amid speculations surrounding his future, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat met Bhartiya Janta Party president JP Nadda in New Delhi.
CM Trivendra Singh Rawat flew to New Delhi on Monday after being summoned by BJP honchos. He met Mr. Nadda at his Delhi residence late night on Monday and is expected to return today. We hear that he had a few commitments lined up in Dehradun and Gairsain on Monday but had to cancel them after he was summoned.
Reports about a leadership change in the state surfaced, when BJP Uttarakhand held an emergency core group meeting a few days ago. Reportedly, around 20 MLAs have complained against CM Trivendra Singh Rawat. The party’s top leadership is worried about the growing discontent as Assembly Elections are scheduled to be held in Uttarakhand next year.
Uttarakhand BJP MLA Munna Singh Chauhan has however, refuted the rumours. Clearing the air, he said that no official meeting of legislature party meet has been called at CM’s residence on Tuesday, as is being reported.
