Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi‘s Chehre‘s release date was announced a day ago along with a new poster. While the poster features the entire lead cast, Rhea Chakraborty is conspicuously missing from it.
The film will hit the big screens on April 30. While announcing the release date, the cast and crew shared the new poster and tagged the entire lead cast. However, Rhea was neither seen on the poster, nor was she tagged by anyone.
We wonder if she was dropped from the project or did the makers deliberately didn’t put her on the poster to avoid any negativity. The makers have not given any official explanation, yet. Rhea was supposed to play the female lead in the thriller and had also revealed her look from the movie, back in 2019.
Rhea’s life changed completely after her live-in boyfriend, actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his flat in Mumbai, in June 2020. His family blamed Rhea for abetting his suicide and his fans attacked the actress on social media. She also got arrested for allegedly buying drugs for her late boyfriend by the Narcotics Control Bureau. The director of Chehre, Rumi Jafry had also signed Rhea and Sushant for a romantic movie and was supposed to take it on floors, post lockdown.
All we can say is Rhea has already gone through a lot and she now deserves to get her life back. As for her absence from Chehre’s poster, only the maker’s can reveal the reason behind it.
