Karan Johar is all set to don the director’s hat again, after a gap of five years, with his next Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The filmmaker has roped in Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh to play the lead roles.
Ranveer turns a year older today and on the occasion of his 36th birthday, he surprised his fans with this big announcement. He shared the motion poster of the movie and captioned it as, “A special announcement on my special day! Presenting – Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani along with my dazzling supernova Alia Bhatt, directed by the genre himself, kaleidoscopic visionary Karan Johar, & written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan & Sumit Roy. Coming to charm you in 2022! #RockyAurRaniKiPremKahani #RRKPK.”
Karan also shared the poster with his followers. Along with it he wrote, “Yes, it’s a love story, but no – it’s not your regular love story. Rocky and Rani are going to redefine your usual love stories to take you on a journey! Meet the rest of the parivaar today at 2pm!”

This will be Alia’s first film with Ranveer. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is slated to release in 2022.
