Legendary Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar passed away at 7:30 am on Wednesday. He was 98.
The thespian was admitted to Mumbai’s Hinduja Hospital last Wednesday, where he breathed his last. He was being treated at Hinduja’s Intensive Care Unit. His wife Saira Bano was constantly by his side, during his final hours.
Faisal Farooqui, Dilip Saab’s family friend, confirmed the reports through the veteran actor’s Twitter account. He broke the sad news writing, “With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, few minutes ago. We are from God and to Him we return.”
On Monday, his wife Saira Bano had tweeted, “We are grateful for God’s infinite mercy on Dilip Sahib that his health is improving. We are still in hospital and request your prayers and duas so that Insha’Allah he is healthy and discharged soon. Saira Banu Khan.”
